Mexican internet portal Terra is encouraging dog owners to poop and scoop by offering them free WiFi in return. The company is piloting the idea at 10 parks in Mexico City in a campaign by DDB Mexico.
When people throw away their bags of poop in a special box in the park, it calculates the weight and Terra gives everyone free minutes of Wi-Fi in the park. The greater the weight, the more minutes are added — and everyone can enjoy a poo-free park. In an age when people are probably more interested in staring at their smartphone than watching what their dog is doing, it’s a smart idea. What’s to stop pedestrians from tossing not just poop, but other waste that they wouldn’t mind parting with? Nothing, says the agency, but that would just help keep the streets even cleaner. To help consumers focus on the poop, however, hostesses manned each of the bins during the day, passing out bags for doggie droppings.
And for those of you that weren’t a fan of Homeless Hotspots, here’s a Wi-Fi providing alternative that is much less polarizing.

I WISH YOU LOVED ME LIKE IN FILMS
This body of work is a series of confessions, lust, loss, disappointment, and the overwhelming need to be loved. We, as audience members, find ways to project our emotions and desires onto film characters and the saturated world in which they live. This projection can ignite within us both inspiration and self-destruction.The comparison opens our eyes to the residual bruising of past relationships and the shortcomings of what may be our current relationships.
The layer of gold text on top of the appropriated portraits acts as not only an emotional confrontation, but also as a plea for a more intense and beautified life. The gold paint is a nod to the heightened drama of cinematic love. The use of stenciled letters removes the element of an identifiable hand. By removing the deeply personal element of handwritten words, the viewer can find their own confessions in the fragmented phrasing.
The objective is to have the viewers find themselves in each painting without feeling like voyeurs in someone else’s love story. There is a sense that the moment in each painting is fleeting and will eventually pass. The comparison can be made that, like films, relationships can be intense, unattainable, and can leave deep impressions long after they are over.

“Most phones come with flimsy manuals with complicated language and jargon. These books, which can live on a bookshelf actually contain the phone. Each page reveals the elements of the phone in the right order, helping the user to set up the sim card, the battery and even slide the case onto the phone.
The second book is the main manual - the phone actually slots into this and becomes the center of attention. Arrows point to the exact locations the user should press, avoiding confusion and eliminating the feeling of being lost in a menu.”

Really cleaver.
